The project’s massing reflects the sponsor’s desire to re-establish formal urban character to this section of the city currently dominated by socialist era ‘tower-in-the-park’ housing estates and commercial strip malls. The ‘U’ shaped building is meant to define the three adjoining streets. It simultaneously creates a semi-private interior courtyard capable of fostering links between residents.
Entrances to the residential portion of the development are on the quieter side streets while the first floor along the primary street is devoted solely to the commercial tenant helping to reinforce the urban character of that street. The 91 apartments on the upper 4 levels of the building range from 30 to 107 square meters. Parking is provided below grade.
